Shay Dalton – Managing Director
Shay originally qualified as an accountant and since 2001 has worked in search and selection, founding and running some of the best-known recruitment businesses in Ireland.
Specialising in senior appointments, Shay has placed over 200 successful C-level candidates and is one of the best known and respected executive recruiters in the market. In 2018 and 2019 he was awarded the In-Business Award for the best in Executive Recruitment for his work on senior placements throughout those years. Shay also holds an MSc in Organisational Management and is a member of BPS, qualified to conduct and interpret psychometric testing as well as EQi testing.
Lana Kane – Director
Managing our team of healthcare professionals, Lana leads on the commercial and strategic growth of the division.
She has 20+ years’ healthcare recruitment experience and specialises in seamless management, business analysis and senior appointments. Lana brings extensive operational and strategic experience in private and public healthcare management, delivery, governance/quality and risk management systems.
Lana is an expert at building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, problem-solving, decision-making, project management and budgets.
Charlene Cooke – Head of Allied Health
Charlene is a strategic, highly enthusiastic leader with a wealth of experience supplying Allied Health and Social Care professionals across acute hospitals, community, primary care facilities, mental health services, disability services, social care organisations.
She delivers a truly personalised service through in-depth understanding of the market and her customer’s needs. Her proven passion for innovation, high performance and commitment has led her to become highly renowned for supporting candidates throughout their journey to find a new career.

Brigita Dargyte-Simoviciene – Head of Finance & Operations
Brigita has over 10 years’ experience in customer services, with a wealth of knowledge in payroll administration. She has previously supported various Healthcare institutes in the administration of the payroll departments ensuring that payroll runs smoothly.
Brigita is central to the efficient running of the payroll department supporting integrations between HR and global payroll systems including resolving discrepancies. Brigita will support and advise you on all your payroll queries.
Sheryl Pace Briffa – Head of Compliance
Sheryl joined the Medforce Healthcare Recruitment team in January 2022 and is responsible for managing the end-to-end compliance process – from accepting your employment offer including onboarding documentation, to the final stages before commencing your employment including relocation assistance. Sheryl’s specialities include:

Sheryl has over 9 years’ experience in administration work as well as customer service of which 4 years have been spent in healthcare recruitment. She has worked with both public and private sectors in a fast-paced and multi-national environment. She has also further developed her knowledge by graduating in Leadership and Management.
Sheena Morgan – Head of Doctors
Sheena has over 8 years’ experience recruiting doctors from all over the world.
She is responsible for placing NCHD and Consultant level doctors across all specialities, in both public and private hospitals.
Having moved to Ireland in 2013, she has an understanding of the challenges involved in relocating to a new country. Sheena prides herself in providing a professional service with a personal touch.
Mark O’Kelly – Agency Team Lead
Mark has recently taken on the role of agency team lead. Mark completed an undergraduate degree in Health and Performance Science in UCD and then a professional masters in Physiotherapy also in UCD. After working as a Physiotherapist, Mark decided a career change was best for him and working as a healthcare recruiter was an opportunity worth taking.
Whilst working as a Physiotherapist in hospitals, understaffed wards, due to different reasons, were common and Mark saw first-hand the added pressure this put on all staff members. It is Mark’s goal that in working as a healthcare recruiter and agency team lead he will have the vital opportunity to help ease the burden of low staff numbers on hospitals, nursing homes and residential settings.
John Reid – Principal Recruitment Consultant
John brings more than eleven years of recruitment and account management expertise to the table, having launched his career in the Biopharmaceuticals, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Devices sectors. Over the course of his career, he has worked closely with major blue-chip clients and startups focused on developing groundbreaking, lifesaving products, thereby necessitating the recruitment of candidates with specialised experience. John has demonstrated proficiency in recruiting and placing candidates across various levels, from Technicians to Senior Directors.
John possesses a deep expertise in client engagement and relationship management, gaining insights into his clients’ desires and operations to ensure effective candidate placement. His passion for matching individuals with careers that transcend mere employment has led him to transition into the healthcare sector, where he has recently joined the Allied Healthcare department at Medforce, continuing his commitment to meaningful career placements.
Priyal Naik – Recruitment Consultant – Nurses
Priyal joins the Nurses team in Medforce. She holds Master’s degree in Marketing and has 2 years experience in Recruitment. Priya is a highly enthusiastic, self–motivated, target oriented and hardworking person.
Kyle Sandoval – Senior Payroll Administrator
Kyle’s experience in Healthcare Recruitment spans over 7 years. During her time as a recruitment consultant, she acquired experience in compliance and payroll administration. Kyle has gained extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and gained core skills that will allow her to run the payroll department efficiently. In addition to resolving discrepancies, Kyle supports and advises payroll queries.
Laura Fagan – Recruitment Consultant
Laura is a dedicated Recruitment Consultant specialising in Allied Health recruitment. With a passion for connecting exceptional talent with the right opportunities, she brings a wealth of expertise in the field.
Laura initially joined Lincoln Recruitment as Recruitment Consultant within the Technology sector after successfully completing her Bachelor of Science in Business and Management at TU Dublin. Laura moved across to Medforce in June 2023 and brings with her experience a deep understanding of the recruitment industry’s intricacies. This knowledge allows her to effectively identify and connect top talent with opportunities in various Allied Health roles, including Psychologists, Radiographers, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Social Workers. Laura’s expertise ensures that both candidates and clients receive exceptional service and find the perfect match for their needs.
Antoinette Doyle – Agency Recruiter & Placement Coordinator
Antoinette Doyle joins the Agency team in Medforce. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management, demonstrating her proficiency in strategic planning, problem-solving and project management.
Antoinette gained valuable healthcare experience as a Covid contact tracer, focusing on specialized Covid cases. This experience not only gave her a deep appreciation for healthcare but also equipped her with an adaptable skillset. She now transfers these skills to agency healthcare recruitment, ensuring a seamless match between healthcare professionals and their respective roles. Her unique background and expertise make her an invaluable asset to our recruitment team.
Katie O’Keeffe – Agency Recruiter & Placement Coordinator
Katie recently joined the Medforce team as Agency Team Administrative Support. Katie is a highly organised individual who prides herself on her management and efficiency. The role of administrator involves a great deal of multitasking and communication with team members and management which comes as second nature to Katie. She plays a critical role in supporting the agency team in smooth operation of recruitment and bookings.
Thomas Flynn – Marketing & Innovation Executive
Thomas has joined the Medforce team as a Marketing Executive with 5 years of experience in Marketing and Design roles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Product Design, Marketing and Innovation along with a MSc in Creative Digital Media and UX.
Thomas began his career in a marketing agency, where he specialised in catering to diverse B2B industries such as construction, energy solutions, and not-for-profits. He assisted these companies in achieving their goals by implementing powerful digital marketing strategies across various touch points. Skilled in utilising digital channels like websites, SEO, email marketing, and content marketing, he effectively drives targeted engagement, generates leads, and optimises conversions. Recently, he transitioned to the healthcare industry, aiming to create a more direct impact on the markets he serves.
Aisling Deegan – Agency Recruiter & Placement Coordinator
Aisling joined Medforce as an Agency Recruiter and Placement Coordinator. Having recently graduated with First Class Honours from the Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology at IADT, Aisling is an organised and detail-orientated individual, enthusiastic about maintaining excellent communication with clients to match job requirements with suitably skilled and qualified professionals.
With sales, administration, and competitive sporting experience representing Ireland, Aisling is driven, goal-oriented, and has developed an excellent ability to deal with pressure. Additionally, having family members working as medical professionals has equipped Aisling with a unique familiarity with the healthcare industry.

Leah Rice – Agency Recruiter & Placement Coordinator
Leah recently joined the Medforce team as an Agency Recruiter and Placement Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for social care. Having achieved a Level 5 qualification in Social Care, Leah demonstrates her dedication to comprehensively understanding and effectively addressing the varied needs within healthcare settings.
With over three years of experience in healthcare coordination, Leah has honed her skills in managing complex scenarios and responding swiftly and effectively to urgent care needs, all critical skills in the fast-paced healthcare environment.

Seamus Kennedy – Associate Recruitment Consultant
Seamus joined Medforce in 2023 as part of the doctors recruitment team. Seamus completed an undergraduate degree in physiotherapy in UCD and has spent 7 years working in private healthcare. Having managed a thriving private physiotherapy practice for 5 years he understands first hand the importance of hiring and training the correct talent to build great culture and productivity within an organisation.
He is responsible for placing consultant and NCHDs for both private and public hospitals. He has a particular interest in working with small-medium sized GP practices to help build bespoke hiring solutions to fit individual practice needs.
Erika Santalucia – Compliance and Training Co-ordinator
Erika joins the Medforce Team as a Compliance and Training Co-ordinator. She is a people-oriented training specialist recognised by her empathetic approach creating a trusted training environment where trainees feel comfortable to engage and learn.
She holds a BSc in Psychology degree and recently completed her certification in Training Delivery and Evaluation by the Learning and Development Irish Institute. In her 5 years working as a training specialist, she excelled in crafting customised training solutions that empowered trainees to thrive, ensuring lasting success for the organisation they were inserted in. Her journey is driven by a deep curiosity about human behaviour and a strong belief in our ability to better our surroundings.
